Shoes are usually quite costly and should be packed properly so that they do not get damaged when moving to or from Vancouver, BC or elsewhere in Canada.

Some people are more organized in keeping their shoes and have shoe hangers for all their shoes, while others just throw shoes in the closets without caring much. Well, if you do not pack your shoes correctly, they will probably get damaged while being moved.

Here are some useful tips that will help you in packing shoes so that they reach your new location safely without a scratch.

The best way to pack and move shoes is by placing them in their original shoe boxes. Shoe boxes will keep your shoes protected during your move and prevent your shoes from getting crushed or scratched. Just place the shoes in their original boxes and pack the shoe boxes in a carton that is reserved for the shoes.

Not everyone keeps original shoe boxes, and if you do not have those boxes anymore then you will have to put in some extra effort in packing the shoes. Individually wrap each shoe in some packing paper. Once the shoes are wrapped, start putting them into a carton box, making sure that they are placed sideways and not stacked on top of each other.

Once a layer of shoes is kept in the box and the time comes to stack the shoes, add some padding on top of the first layer. This padding will prevent shoes in the bottom from getting crashed.

Packing shoes does seem like a challenging task but it is better to pack and move your shoes properly instead of having to buy new shoes upon reaching your new place.
