An appropriately packed moving box will protect items that are being moved and will help to minimize the potential damage during moving in Vancouver, BC.
Below are some of the tips that will help you in packing a moving box in the most efficient manner.
Use some tape on the bottom
If you are using a carton box – there is a possibility that the base of the box will break. Boxes are not very strong at the bottom and if you intend to fill in some heavy items in them – make sure you tape the bottom of the box to add some strength to it.
Follow a packing order
While packing a box you should always follow a packing order: pack in the heaviest items first and work your way up by adding light weight items on the top.
It is important to follow this order for a couple of reasons. If the heavy items are packed on the base, the lightweight items won’t break because of the heavy items. Moreover, this order will also give more stability to the box and will help your Canadian professional movers in loading and unloading it.
Bubble wrap and foam
When you pack a box you will often notice that there is empty space being left in the box. Fill those empty gaps with foam or bubble wrap. If you do not fill those empty spaces before packing the box with a tape, the items in the box will keep moving that will result in damage. Filling in some foam or bubble wrap will fix the items in their place and make the box more stable.
