Information That Makes a Moving Estimate More Accurate

A useful estimate begins with complete information. A city name and bedroom count are a starting point, but they do not describe the route, access, belongings, building rules or additional services that shape the real work.

Provide both complete addresses

Include street address, unit number and property type for the origin and destination. Confirm whether each location is a house, townhome, condo, apartment, office or commercial unit.

If the route includes storage, an extra pickup or another stop, disclose it at the start so the request reflects the full plan.

Describe access at both ends

List stairs, elevators, loading areas, parkade limits, street parking, narrow doors, long carries and building time windows.

Do not describe only the harder property. The estimate needs a complete truck-to-space route at the origin and destination.

Build a practical inventory

Estimate the number of boxes and list furniture, office equipment, appliances and other major pieces. Room-by-room lists are easier to review than a single general description.

Identify heavy, fragile, oversized or unusually shaped items. Include furniture that may require agreed disassembly or special preparation.

Select every required service

State whether the request includes residential or commercial moving, full or partial packing, unpacking, approved junk removal, move-in cleaning or move-out cleaning.

Explain the scope of each service. For example, list rooms to pack, unwanted items to review and the cleaning areas required.

Confirm timing and keep details current

Provide the preferred date and any fixed elevator, key, lease or business deadline. Availability and sequencing depend on accurate timing.

Report changes to the inventory, address, access or service list before moving day. A quote built from old details cannot remain accurate after the scope changes.
